What to Expect at a U-Pick Flower Farm
Joyful Blooms U-Pick field 2024
If you’ve never visited a U-Pick flower farm, you might be wondering what the experience is really like — and if it’s right for you. Whether you’re visiting on your own, with friends, or as a family, a flower farm U-Pick experience is designed to be relaxed, welcoming, and joyful.
Here’s exactly what to expect when you visit our U-Pick flower farm.
A Slower Pace from the Moment You Arrive
One of the first things guests notice when they arrive at our flower farm is how quickly life slows down. A U-Pick flower farm isn’t about rushing or checking things off a list — it’s about wandering the fields, breathing fresh air, and enjoying the simple beauty of flowers growing in season.
This is a place to unplug, slow down, and be present.
Choosing Your Bouquet Size
When you arrive during our posted U-Pick hours, you’ll check in at The Flower Shed and choose the bouquet size that feels right for you. Whether you’re picking just a few blooms or creating a full, abundant bouquet, you’re free to choose what works best.
We provide the trimmers, jars, buckets and a quick over view of what’s blooming and how to cut the flowers.

Picking Flowers at Your Own Pace
After check-in, you’re welcome to wander the flower fields and pick flowers at your own pace. We’ll share simple tips on how to cut flowers so they last longer at home, but there’s no pressure to do things perfectly.
Many visitors find the experience calming and creative — a chance to slow down and enjoy the moment.
A Family-Friendly Flower Farm Experience
A family-friendly U-Pick flower farm is a wonderful way to spend time together. Kids love choosing colors and exploring the rows of flowers, while adults often discover how peaceful the experience can be.
It’s a simple, meaningful way to connect and create memories outdoors.
Taking the Experience Home
Many guests tell us their U-Pick flowers become a reminder to slow down — sitting on the kitchen table and brightening everyday life long after the visit ends.
That sense of calm doesn’t stay at the farm. It comes home with you.
